EDT - the up and down adjustment of your headlight doors in the closed position is the bolt shown in the picture below. My finger is pointing to the head of the bolt between the two sets of return springs. The other end of the bolt bottoms against a stop about half way up the pic.
Turn this bolt in and the door should stop sooner, unscrew the bolt and the door will closed further.
Now this pic is from a spare headlight assembly I have out of a car. You'll have to crawl underneath the front end to locate the bolt from the bottom. Look for the aluminum pivot arm located between two sets of return springs, the bolt should be located in the arm.
When you locate the bolt, be very careful trying to adjust it. This is a steel bolt threaded in to an aluminum cast arm and the threads may be extremely corroded. If the bolt is stuck, don't force it. Soak it with some penetrating oil overnight if necessary. Also note that I have seen this bolt installed two different ways in the assembly, facing up as shown in my pic, or facing down.
Work the adjustment up and down to obtain the desired result.
Hope this helps, let us know if you have any further questions and how you make out,
