I went out to start the 82 and it wasnt running right (just didnt sound right), so I popped the hood and noticed that the NEW rear injector was not firing at all... ok so I took it out made sure their was nothing plugging it, fuel comming out of the throttle body tells me its getting fuel, I swapped the new one out with the old one I saved (originally wasnt the injector issue by the way)(throttle body tops were on backwards ie fuel regulator on passanger side instead of drivers side)
I looked at the fuse box and the injector fuse was not the right fuse 5 instead of 3 (so at one point this issue has happened in the past with this car otherwise it would have the correct fuse I am assuming), it was blown. so I replaced the fuse and turned the key on, the passanger side injector responded but the driver side still nothing. I rechecked the fuse and it was blown again, so I put another fuse in it, I repeated this a few times.... when i was satisfied that I had a short I began to chase wires- I have an 82 wiring diagram from C3 Registry top of this section on electical, the wires from the injector to the fire wall showed no signs of bear wiring or melted wires.
I got under the dash and still couldnt find any melted or bear wires, the ecm wires out no issues their as well.
Anyone had this issue and if so how did you solve it? I cant find the short!
