I just did all that stuff. The booster bolts are a PITA if your trying to access them from under the dash. So, ya, bolt the booster up and attach it to your pedal with your brake light switch while you still reach in in through the dash opening. I also pulled the column to gain access to both the pedal/brakes as well as the gauges. So, button up the gauges next. Column next. I pinched the tach cable between the column and back of the gauge cluster and realized it would have been better to attach the tach and speedo cables before installing the column. When you put the column in leave the firewall mounts loose so you can rotate the column to fit the dash bottom. Bolt the dash bottom to column up, then tighten the firewall bolts. Otherwise, like I did, my column was cockeyed a tad and the trim piece that holds the hold open valves won't mount proper.
What else....install your clutch rod firewall seal before installing the booster (if your have and or are replacing that seal). Ummm....I installed all new dash bulbs cuz they are a real PITA to get at with everything installed. Keep an eye out on the wiring harness, vac hoses and cables when pushing the gauge cluster into place. You have to get it pretty close to installed before you can route the harness within the harness retainers. That's my memories anyway.....Dave
