I had an unexpected delay and havent started yet.  Perhaps this weekend will be the time.  Ive got everything laid out and tolls on the workbench, just havent been able to get to it.  Im looking forward to it and have heard many positive comments.  Ethan, did you remove your old steering as one unit or in pieces.  I was going to separate mine and remove the steering box separately but cant find a pitman arm puller that will get in between the pitman arm and frame, guess Ill remove it all as one piece.

Mine dropped out really easily all together.  I have aftermarket headers so I took Lf side off for more clearence.  I would think if you have stock ex. manifold it should be no problem.  I'm slow  so there is no way I could have done this job in the 5 hours that they say it is possible in.  Little things like the new replacement steering shaft had to be cleaned up because they embossed some lettering on it that would not allow the support bearing to slide on.   On mine grinding/cutting on the motor mount bracket took extra time but tech support said that was not needed on all Corvettes because of tolerence differences between each car...... I did not have to mess with the steering column like others have so that was good.  Have fun!

Im not planning on getting it done in the time they state either, Im not in a hurry here.  Yep, I ran into the intermediate shaft problem when I was doing my test fitting.  Not only was the embossed lettering too big, I couldnt begin to get the shaft through the support bearing.  I had to "polish" the entire shaft length.

There is an article on it in the latest (March) Corvette Fever magazine.  They install one on a '67 frame.  It might have some helpful tips.

Well Dave, I hope he will get one some day but at the moment he claims part of mine.  His daily driver is a 350Z which is a fun car too.  I pressed him into service on the steeroids install, couldnt have done it without his help.
