All the Corvette News... Straight from General Motors

Kirk Bennion

Corvette Museum events give you access like no other and this year's Bash will offer a number of opportunities to rub elbows with the Corvette elite - in fact, Chevrolet is sending down about 25 members of their team for the event plus about 20 members of the Corvette Plant team!

Friday and Saturday are Factory Tips and Corvette Care seminars, featuring Tom Hill and staff from the Corvette Plant.

GM Detroit and Bowling Green engineers and designers will conduct two 2013 Corvette Walk-Arounds, giving attendees the chance to see, touch and ask about the upcoming model year. Kirk Bennion will be showing attendees how he stripes Corvettes, and he'll be joined by Gerry Panetta - head of the sculpting studio - for a seminar on Sculping and Design. On Saturday, Corvette Chief Engineer Tadge Juechter and Corvette Product Manager Harlan Charles - plus other designers and engineers - will run through What's New for 2013.

Jim Mero, GM Track Rat and Jeff Mosher, Vehicle Dynamics Engineer will lead a seminar on setting records at the Nurburgring.

C4/C5/C6 Specialist Paul Koerner of CorvetteMechanic.com is not only conducting a seminar, but will also offer drop-in assistance, giving you one-on-one time to ask questions about your 'Vette.

Special Guests and Seminars

Ride in the Le Mans Winner

Michelin Tires will be there, conducting a seminar on tire technology - both for the street and racing.

There will be no shortage of autographs to be acquired. Corvette Racing's Program Manager Doug Fehan, Crew Chief Dan Binks, and driver Tommy Milner will be leading a seminar with a recap of the 2011 season, and what to expect in 2012. They're also heading up a Race Team auction with unique and special items donated by Doug Fehan and the team.

Bob Bondurant will give a historical perspective on racing at Le Mans, and we'll also offer rides in a 1963 Z06 Vintage Race Car.

Hear from Bill Nichols, Powertrain VSE, and learn about Powertrain development in the Corvette.

Calling All Ladies!

Ladies' Oasis

Ladies won't feel left out at this event as we have two great activities planned that are primarily geared towards our female Corvette enthusiasts! On Saturday from 9-11am the women engineers of GM will lead a "Ladies' Garage Party", to teach you how things work, and how to have things fixed.

Back again is our popular Ladies' Oasis in Victory Lane offering a relaxing and inviting atmosphere to help you unwind! The Oasis is Friday and Saturday from 10am to 3:30pm. Vendors will offer embroidery demos, candles, facials and makeup, health talks, hooked rug demos, jewelry cleaning, massages and more.

Bash Banquet

General Jackson Showboat

The event banquet returns to the Sloan Convention Center for a plated dinner with featured speaker Dave Tatman - Bowling Green Assembly Plant Manager. The banquet is followed by dj and dancing.

The banquet fee is $35 for members and $40 for non-members. Pre-registration is required.
