I also have the Performer 2101. The RPM is about .600" taller an would work fine with a drop base air cleaner. The 2101 is the same height as a stock manifold.
Here are the different manifold heights:
(front ht + rear ht) /2 = height at center
Performer #2101 (3.50+4.6-)/2 = 4.05
Performer Air Gap #2601 (3.72+4.92)/2 = 4.32
Performer RPM #7101 (4.00+5.30)/2 = 4.65
Performer RPM Air Gap #7501 (4.20+5.25)/2 = 4.725
Did anyone use the Perfomer Intake on their 73 Vette with stock tach-drive dist. I was going to put it on mine but the dist hole in the intake is not the same OD as the base of the dist. Did anyone encounter this? Will the machined dist. bore in the block keep it centered? It does set on the intake dist. hole
I honestly don't know what to say now. I went in the Edelbrock web site and Summit. Both say the manifold will accept HEI distributors, but I know there is an issue with the base of your tach drive unit that is different then the HEI's. Might be worthwhile to contact Edelbrock to find out how to best deal with the problem. You will pick up some performance by changing that distributor.
It didn't quite work, meaning I could turn it sideways, until I found the Accel filter was really short.
Nice see through Valve covers, smoke-m! Did you custom make those or did you buy em like that?
I agree.. where did you get em??
I wish I made these valve covers, but I bought them from Jegs several years back. Their made by Crossfire, the same people who makes the correct cap (distributor) I use. I've never seen anyone else with these valve covers. The last add I seen they changed a little where the hole for the vent was still aluminum and the remainder lexan.
Found on my search engine:

That's what this forum is all about! I have never been part of a group of starngers that felt so much like friends until I joined this group! And you never give a friend a bad deal or a deal that you would give to someone you "don't know"!!

I had the factory Q Jet on mine as a matter of fact. If you decide to go for one, make sure it'd compatible with your emissions equipment if still hooked up - EGR, etc....

I know the voices aren't real, but they have some pretty cool ideas...
Luke, If Ben doesn't take it, I could REALLY use it for my current engine and also when I build another....that's if Vincent doesn't take it either. Guess I saw this post a little late. Dwain
