My car is/was a mess when I first got it, and it had some garbage in the back that I had to sort out. When I got to the accessory box behind the passenger seat, I found a bowling ball... Thought that was strange. Too bad it didn't fit.
What have you guys found?

Um, about 20 lbs. of Bondo?

I know the voices aren't real, but they have some pretty cool ideas...
I guess this counts, it wasnt in a car but in an amplfier I bought about 10 years ago... I bought a 1965 Fender Twin amp that was part of a moving sale. It was a basket case, sitting in damp storage for what I thought was about 20 years. I figured the cabinet and hardware was still good and I paid 75.00 for it. The electronics were shot and 75.00 was a fair price. As im tearing the amp down, I got to the reverb tank. The reverb tank is a metal recatangle about 18x4x2 inches. It sits in a pouch in the bottom of the amp, the back of the amp is open so you just reach in. Under this reverb tank I found a wallet. It had an expired licence from 1971, a registration for a Ford, an expired credit card and a military i-d and about 7 bucks. I looked up the owner and I found the same name, in the same town at a different address. I made a call and after I told them who I was I said "did anyone lose a wallet about 30 years ago? Long story short, the amp blew on a gig, a friend bought it because it woulda been about 35.00 to fix and a used one was about 75.00. The owner put his wallet in the back of his amp at gigs. When he asked his friend if the wallet was in the amp, he said no because he didnt move the reverb tank. The wallet and the owner were reunited.. KeBo 2008-11-03 09:08:37

Kevin, what aboo the kewl sign you found under the carpet of one of yours recently? "Not built by Scabs"??!
I found some neat stuff under the carpet of my '74 when I first got it. Some sanding discs used by the St. Louis assy plant, for one...with GM part numbers on them!
I'm glad I didn't find a bowling ball in there, that's fer sure! I might expect that with the '85, since it was built in Bowling Green...
(sorry...it's the medications talkin...)

Mouse nest in the heating duct, mouse turds, alot of corn dust. This wasn't in it, but there was a tractor tire leaning on it!

And my happiest find---- ALL the paperwork in the glovebox including build sheet!

About .37 in change, the remains of a self installed stereo, french fries, wires not hooked to anything, and I have not finished looking. Hopin to find more pictures of past presidents with higher value to them.
Three dead mice up in front of the glove compartment.
I had no idea at all that this was a common thing in cars that sat around in barns for a while. I replaced the carpets thinkin' that was the source of the odor. I still smelled that godawful stink that got worse as I drove faster.
A friend suggested dead mice. "No way!" I said.
We took out the whole dash and "Yup, there they go."
