This is probably the most basic of questions. I have developed a leak in my exhaust system. It was real easy to track down. The system is leaking between the manifold and the exhaust pipe on the right side of the motor. I believe this is in the vicinity of the heat riser valve. Why is this valve in the exhaust system and what is it's purpose?
