Anyone try this stuff??

Definitely NOT Snake oil. Good stuff.
I use it in my Goldwing(fuel tank)quite regularly, and it definitely helps keep things clean. One word of caution...if your fuel system happens to have any kind of crud/funk built up in it, it WILL get washed loose, and wind up(hopefully) in the fuel filter. Be prepared to change the fuel filter after running a few tanks with the Sea Foam. It will help clean some of the carbon from the valves, and pistons, too.

It is also good for putting in your engine oil before changing. It will clean some of the gunk, for sure. Put it in, and put a few miles on it before changing the oil.
If you use it according to the directions, you will not hurt anything.

I used a cleaner and it cleaned the engine real good took some varnish off some places that should have been left alone and my 87 olds started to burn oil.   Is this cleaner strong enough to clean varnish? 

It's not a miracle cure for a worn out engine...make no mistakes about that. But...if used properly, Sea Foam is safe, and will not create new problems. You didn't say what product you used, so....
I'll tell youse...I am not one to recommend any kind of additives for engine/trans oils, because a LOT of them are snake oils. I use the Sea Foam, so I can say it has worked great for me.

I used it in my '82 Honda CB 450 (seems like lots of Honda owners use it), but I've never tried it in the 'Vette.  Worked great in the Honda and didn't cause any problems.

I've usually just put the whole can in the gas tank??????? My oil doesn't look that bad. Am I doing this wrong? Wouldn't be the first time.  By the way Dan, you still trying to come to Carlisle? Jaws792011-07-21 06:41:14

Use it before a tune-up.  Disconnect the large vacuum hose from the brake booster and slowly pour it into the hose so it will get sucked into the induction system while the engine is running.  Be prepared to smoke up your neighborhood while doing that as all the crud in the system gets blown out the exhaust.

There is a ratio spec for usage in a fuel tank. Usually, the can of Sea Foam will treat a 20 gallon tank(if I remember right), so putting the whole can in your tank is fine. On my Goldwing, I'll pour a 1/4 can into a tankful at a time, so 5gal x 4 = 20 gal treated.

Well yeeesh....I've never done that, so I couldn't really say. Can't see what it would hurt. Seems to me it would be just as easy to slowly pour it thru the top of the carb...it would do the same thing, far as I can tell.

Never used the Sea Foam in the Corvette but I have put some in my snowblower and it brought it back to life.

Well I put the whole can in the car.
