Falling Visor  - Submitted by: glenns
The visor rod is attached to the windshield header by screws and does not move. The rod slips ( if you are lucky ) into what I assume is a tube of metal inside the visor. The tube is shaped like a letter C. It is basically a "press fit" between the rod and the tube. You might try to remove the visor and tighten the tube with a pair of regular pliers ( wrap some cloth or other protective material on the visor first ) and gently squeeze the metal together and see if it tightens the tube. Be careful. I had to replace the visors because mine was so tight that when I tried to move the visor, it seemed to be welded to the rod ( probably rusted ).
