When I bought my 75 the power windows worked,, installed new carpet and redid the seats,, the windows worked before,, now they don't,, I've read that theres a relay between the fuse block and switches under the shift console,, I can't find anything remotely like people say. Am I looking in the right area?
I have a 75 and experienced the same problem. If you look at my fuse panel below, you will see a large 30A silver circuit breaker in the top left PWR ACC Spot. I replaced mine and the power window worked. You can get them at the Corvette suppliers. I hope this will help you.
I replaced it with a 30 amp regular fuse and it didn't work,, I guess I'll find the same style and hope it works. Thanks for the help,, we have identical cars, gotta love the blue!!
Are the power window motors still the originals? My driver's side window stopped working. I pulled the motor looked at the brushes and they were worn. So I went to the local auto electric shop that rebuilds alternators and starters. He had new brushes that would fit. I soldered them and solved that problem. Also a good time to clean them up inside and the gear area.
As far as I know they're original but they worked fine until they both stopped,, I just ordered the 30 amp "breaker" on the fusebox so we'll see what happens Tuesday when I get it..
Replaced the breaker in the fuse box and nothing,, anyone know the location of a relay that's suppose to be under the shifter console but I can't find it..
